The bloat is being a bit hard to beat since a month or so. I especially love the carom tea idea!
On another note, can you please please please do a post on how to grow your hair long – why, how, food, inversions et al :))

I had to say goodbye to my dog, my love, about five weeks ago and this article has really helped me move a bit closer to making sense of my life without him. Thanks a lot.

Comment on My Daily Ritual by shivani https://nishakhannamd.com/my-daily-ritual/#comment-33 Tue, 28 Jun 2016 07:51:55 +0000 http://finerbalance.com/?p=559#comment-33 The fact that you prefer to wake up at 7 unlike traditional ayurveda which asks one to wake up between 2 am to 6 am, it’s quite interesting. I noticed that being a vata prakriti person myself, if I wake up at 5:30 I feel more agitated than calm and all sorts of thoughts are racing through my head. I really want to experience the quiet meditative time that all scriptures talk about (brahmamuhurta/amritvela) and am aspiring to changing this time to 5:00 such that I am able to do my buddhist practice then. But I find that its really hard for folks who can’t afford a nap during the day:) Any thoughts there?

Also, its’ interesting to see that you do your abhyanga and oil pulling in the evening. I think that makes practical sense given that in the evening one is naturally more relaxed and has more time. Can I please request you to share, how long after consuming food can oil pulling be practiced?

Oh and can you please share what time should turmeric milk be consumed before sleeping? I find that if I drink it at 9 with a 2 hour gap after dinner and sleep at 10, I get up umpteen times to pee:( If I don’t drink it at night, I have no other window to get that 1 cup of milk in my day.
thank you so much.
