Ink Art by Nisha
Nisha was a Studio Art major at UT Austin, specializing in oil painting and photography. She has always balanced medicine in one hand and art in the other. Today, her chosen medium is alcohol ink on glass, blending the precision of science with the free-flowing nature of ink, which often takes on a life of its own.
Her work evokes the feeling of traditional stained glass, reinterpreted in a modern, secular way. It retains the awe-inspiring play of sunlight filtering through the glass, creating unique shapes when the angle of light is just right. The resulting visuals are often soft, layered, and sensual.
